aboutMe
Michael D. Mcbride sr.
I am the founder and visionary of the W.I.N.G.S. (With Inner Nurturing Greatness Soars) Project. LLC. As a product of Camden, NJ, I learned at an early age how blessed I was to have a circle of family, neighbors, coaches, and friends that were all instrumental in my overall development. Through this realization, I began to understand that by giving of myself to others in selfless service I could soar.
I am a 1992 graduate of Glassboro State College (Rowan University) with a Bachelors Of Arts in History, and teaching certificate in Learning Disabilities. I am a proud and passionate educator with 27 years of classroom and coaching experience that has allowed me to travel this incredible journey.
Prior to retiring from coaching, I coached a winning New Jersey HS Football Championship team, assisting my former players in obtaining over 10 million dollars in scholarships, grants and financial aid from which 250 are college graduates. Additionally, many of those men went on to become educators, administrators, doctors, attorneys, and I also coached nine professional football players, and one who worked in the White House under President Barack Obama. I co-founded a HS football team mentoring group; A Few Good Men (AFGM) in 2011 that emphasizes on the holistic values and character development of players beyond the field of play. AFGM mentors close to 1,000 high school players annually and has mentored close to 7,000 young men since its inception. From here the seeds of The W.I.N.G.S. Project were sown.
I have been truly blessed to speak across our great country on the topics such as Character Development and Leadership to Overcoming Obstacles.
I now invite you to spread your W.I.N.G.S. and Fly!!
